Mindtooth Touch Headset
The Mindtooth Touch headset is comprised of two main parts: front and rear part. The two parts are held together with an adjustable elastic band.
Five EEG sensors are found on the front part of the headset, which is designed to fit to the user’s forehead and maximize comfort. All electrode pellets and bases for the sponge electrode holders are embedded in the headset together.
The rear part of the headset contains the ground and reference sensors, three parietal EEG sensors and the ClickOn Amplifier socket. Ground and reference sensors are fitted on the mastoids, allowing the user to wear glasses and headphones while wearing the headset.
The arms on which the electrodes are placed have been designed to adapt to the users head shape and contain an extended rotating piece in order to ensure contact with the scalp.

Software
Neurometrics App
The Mindtooth Neurometrics App enables users to record EEG data from the Mindtooth Touch system and compute neurometrics for workload, stress, and vigilance. To record new EEG sessions, users must download and run the Windows companion app for EEG recording, available directly from the web app, which handles the hardware communication layer and connects to the Mindtooth Touch amplifier.
On Windows, the full functionality is available, including live EEG acquisition and real-time neurometrics computation. On other operating systems, the web app can be used to review reports, visualize results, and download EEG and neurometrics data, but recording new sessions is not supported.
Neurometrics calculations are performed in real time using scientifically validated AI algorithms hosted in a secure cloud environment and are streamed to third-party applications via the WebSocket protocol for efficient, low-latency, and reliable communication.
All EEG data and neurometrics are securely stored in the cloud and are immediately accessible either through direct download in .csv format or via online visualization on the app’s report page.

EEG App
The Mindtooth EEG App is a Windows® application that enables streaming and recording of EEG signals from the Mindtooth Touch system. It manages the connection with the amplifier, enables users to configure basic settings (sampling frequency, enabled channels, etc.), and to check contact quality (impedance measurement).
The EEG data are stored locally and can be imported to third-parties based on MATLAB® (i.e. EEGLAB, BCILAB, etc.), Python (MNE, etc.), Tobii Pro Lab, etc. for offline visualization and analysis.
The EEG app also offers a straightforward real-time connectivity with other devices via Lab Streaming Layer (LSL), allowing researchers to build diverse protocol setups using a wide range of tools.
